And the commercial version is not even out!

But yes, any news? I'd love to put it on all the computers in our classrooms so they can compare with AutoCAD.

We plan to have the ArchiCAD 9 student version ready for the first semester of 2005.

My dealer promised my november !
I hope it, since then our students can order it and get to know ArchiCAD.

I was told by Graphisoft UK in Mid December 04 that it was available as from that week. however, we have no plans to install it until January, but once we do we shall be keen to get it onto every machine (a tall order for a 50 keyserver installation)

ArchiCAD 9 student version is a EURO 50 for a fully functional ArchiCAD (incl. dongle and manuals and upgrades, for the whole study period).

This seems to be a very good offer.

It does indeed. there would be many students willing to have the full version (that can write the PLN files) for such a modest payment - although they would have problems sharing files with their PNE using colleagues.

Sharing seems to be a problem, but save as R8 and open in the older version could work (one-way-only).
The other way around? I don't think it'll work.
