Those orange lines represent the edges of the 3D object. There is no way to get ride of them completely, but you could change them to white.

Why would you want to get rid of them?

I just wanted to make the object cleaner looking when working in the library window screen. The bars of the railing section are 20mm dia at max, the pen colour thickness hides these and therfore you cant see them clearly.
I have individual material colours set for the different parts of the railing eg railtop, bars, posts, collars in the parameters. I wanted to see what the railing will look like by changing these colours before placing it in the floor plan and then viewing it in 3D.
If I change it to white it will hide the object in the 2D floor plan.

It depends on the object. Some have different 2D and 3D pens, Ones that do, you can make the 3D pen whatever you want. The ones that don't, you are kind of stuck.

Normally, if there is no specific 3D pen, the 3D pen is the default object pen.

Simple answer, yes.

But a few questions first.

Are you familiar with opening library parts amd changing the scripts?

What is the name of the part you want to revise?
