Maybe you placed a large bitmap in your file using the Figure Tool.
Maybe you placed several Sections/Elvations and generated them.
I cannot think of more at the moment, but there may be more.

<T>Hi

I have an archicad file that was 9 meg a few weeks ago - and has blown out to 36 meg now - but it's only a house - not particularly complex.

Does anyone know why this might be or how I can reduce the size?

I am using version 9 and have been detailing in 2d mostly in the time period where it seemed to grow.

Any comments or help appreciated!</T>

extensive symbol fills
unlinked elevations with a lot of drafting fills/lines on top
