<T>I have the student version of archicad 9. If I want to draw a rectangular wall 18 feet x 22 feet how do I do that with out physically counting grid squares. I read a post about a "tracker" but couldn't find it.

Thanks</T>

Dave

Tracker was added in v10, sorry.

Simple answer - select the rectangular geometry in the wall tool settings, click on your first point, hit x, type dimension, hit y, type dimension, THEN hit enter.

I assume that you mean to simultaneously create a set of four walls touching on their ends, arranged in a rectangle.

Tracker not necessary for this operation.

-set working units to feet.
-activate wall tool.
-select rectangle drawing option.
-click with mouse to locate lower left corner of rectangle. (start position)
-enter "x22y18" or "x18y22" (you didn't specify the proportion of your rectangle)
-enter "return."

It should draw a rectangle.
