..I've seem to be able to resolve this problem by rendering with the z-buffer render engine, it looks good however its not what i would call a high quality image - is there away to produce something of high quality that won't affect the textures i've applied??

<R>Hi i'm a student and everytime i try to render, the materials i've applied look like a different material and everything looks over exposed - i'm using the light works render setting with defaulted settings, i get the feeling its the fault of the textures i used to make the material anyway can someone help me plz ASAP!!

this is a screen shot of the building that i saved in paint [the texture/material is normal]
http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/4586/prohetfh8.png

this is a rendered picture - looks really exposed and the wooden material has turned to bricks?
http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/8916/projetfb6.png
I could have one of my books sent to you from Sydney if you like.

The main problem with your LightWorks rendering is that the Camera Light seems to be on. CAMERA LIGHT BAD.

Materials look different in LightWorks because they have all sorts of special reflectivity settings than other rendering methods provide.

Who said that the default LightWorks light settings were any good? There you go trusting Graphisoft again when even their own instruction material shows black soffits.

Get in there and fix it, both by reducing light intensity and reflectivity in the materials you used.

If you start opening MAterial Settings dialogs, you'll see how a material is represented differently in each rendering engine. There is much work to be done in co-ordinating material appearance.
