archiCAD online subscription went up!

Graphisoft emailed me > price will goes up 3 times after 1 April, for subscription online (solo)
I am in Bangkok, I don't know I should continue my subscription or not since...

- info via warning email = 52,712.035311858504 THB
- info via system = 29,599.99 THB with disclaimer: ** The actual renewal fee will depend on your active subscriptions at the time of renewal.
- price from local distributor = 9X,XXX THB

i emailed purchasesupport @graphisoft.com
no one answer...

What should i do next!
Anyone same experience?

Are you sure this is not a April Fools Day joke?

If this is a genuine e-mail (bad timing and also too late as it is already April 1), then I suggest you call your local distributor to discuss in person.

They are the only ones that will be able to help you.

I am not sure if that is even a valid e-mail address for purchases.

I just looked at the Graphisoft website and clicked the 'buy now' button.

Seems there is a price increase from today.

For me here in Australia, the collaboration subscription and studio subscription have increased by just over 70% (BIMcloud on its own by over 100%).

How can Graphisoft justify a 70% increase?

I can't speak for the small user here.

I don't run a company, so have no idea if the cost would be hard or easy to absorb.

I just can't believe it has increased by over 70% over night.

Fortunately the company I work for has just locked in the 3 year deal for subscription.

What is going to happen at the end of those 3 years, I guess we will have to just wait and see.

From what I deduce, they "aligned" their pricing with Revit pricings.

There was a heads-up message that the prices would go up on the buy-now page:

Our distributor warned us, but the price increases in our case were nowhere near a 70%. I suppose we were already aligned, or they are reserving the fun for next year 😅

Now it is a little clearer what has happened as the web site has been updated.

The monthly fee has increased by 70%.

If you pay for 1 year up front, the price is the same as it was before.

Or you can lock in that 1 year price for a period of 3 years - which to me just guarantees the yearly fee is going to increase each year.

So if you can commit to a 3 year contract, that would be the way to go.

Curious, as one of the few advantages of the subscription is that you can rent the software for small periods of higher workload. If they continue to move up the monthly price, they are, as it appears ever happens, giving us the worst of both worlds 😐

By my calculations I will be paying 216% more pa for ArchiCAD Studio (formerly Solo) by year 3 (and presumably yearly thereafter) than I do at present!

I will be looking at alternatives as this is an absolutely shocking way to treat a customer base who have invested heavily in time and money over the years.

its ok! since this price increase gives you access to the mep module that calculates pipelines and the structural module in which You can generate rebar and what-not automatically and new AI integrated functionalities.
