Energy Evaluation και το EcoDesigner STAR vs Energy Plus

Hello!

I am about to start my thesis in Uni in building energy upgrading. The building is already desing in Archicad.

My fist plan was to use Energy Plus with Openstudio. However, I found out that i can use Energy Evaluation and EcoDesigner STAR.

I really need some direction. Is the Energy Evaluation and EcoDesigner STAR good emough for energy upgrading, or I should go throuth Energy Plus.

I am interesting in finding someone who can generate a useful Thermal Energy evaluation/report form a 3D model in any one of the file formats I can generate with ArchiCAD. I am useing REScheck, but there must be a better way. ?
