topic Embodied carbon of Doors and Windows in Sustainable design

Hi everyone,

This topic has been raised before, but it hasn't received an answer - EC calculations of Windows/Doors.

How do you calculate the embodied carbon of doors, windows, and objects that don’t use building materials in Archicad?

What workflows do you follow? Do you use custom properties?

For elements that use building materials, the process seems fairly straightforward.

Operating system used: Windows 11

If you install DesignLCA and assign the properties set im pretty sure that you can assign the frame, glazing type and gas type inside the window panes and based on the dimenions of the window. It has a preset calculation and will calculate the embodied carbon of them.

Cian.
