One possible scenario that would lead to this message:
If user A has the layers reserved, user B can still create a new layer and start using it. (You don't have to have layers reserved to create a new layer). However, when user B sends his/her changes, than this warning will appear, since the layer combinations on the server have to be updated with the new layer's information.

<T>this isn't suppose to happen.
I thought that if user (A) is working on something in the database and user (b) is working on something else in the database....you can simply send/receive without problems..yet I was working on the layer settings while another user was working on the layout and viewmap and yet the other user could not do a SEND/RECEiVE from his end...why?</T>

thanks much for the help.
humm....so there are "certain" pieces of the database which the BIM Server really doesn't quite know how to process when it's a part of the file that 'both' user "A" and user "B" have....interesting.

Wonder what else would trigger this kind of error message?
