Friends...every building yearns to be connected with its place, and yet, each building relies on its View Makers to establish the parameters for copacetic construction. Do what ever it rightfully takes, to make Earth habitable for all earthlings, before the point of no return is upon us!

There is no contractual agreement for this project at this time.
LEED applications costs in fees........but not sure the checklists covers all the basis creative designers put forth, irregardless of 4 points for innovation....

I would consider the Living Building Institute criteria Living Building Challenge Version 2 .

Also look to how we can lock arms with the Architecture 2030 Challenge, "2030’s mission is to rapidly transform the U.S. and global Building Sector from the major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions to a central part of the solution to the climate change, energy consumption, and economic crises. " Architecture2030: about us Is not what this experiment is trying to demonstrate, accurate, ecological, restorative, environmental design with rapidity unparalleled in AEC industry history ?

Step Five - Week Two for Project V V V (Virtual Visible Views) starts today at 10:00 AM EST, GMT -4:00. - Update, Four people have withdrawn, 3 because of unexpected workloads, good news, 1 because of job loss, not so good news. Meanwhile we added two others in opposite time zones around the globe.

CoDE Collaborative Design Environment web pages have been placed into service by Gerald Lock, as an open source overlay, to allow for efficient effective communications.

Daniel Dusoswa and Anup Vyas now coordinating the site have have added extensive elements in eleven Team Zones including 3D Visualizations Team, BIM Management Team, Building Detailing Team, Building Interiors Team, Building Structure Team, Built Environment Team, CoDE Website Team, Design Concept Team, Documentation Team, EDU/Start Team, and a Graphics Team.

How about logging in for one lunch hour a week?

This project is already established its worthiness.....you can add to its creditability and utility to help yourself, your firm, your time zone, and Mom Earth.

Step Eight - Week Five for Project V V V (Virtual Visible Views) starts today, 051711, at 10:00 PM EST, GMT -4:00. - Update, this is our half way point in the world wide experiment V_V_V.

Some views are beginning to appear in the BIM.
Some View Makers have written privately that personal issues that have naturally surfaced, have besieged their walks on Earth.....thus participation has not been up to expectations.

This writer has, until yesterday, had to contend with a retiring laptop....C, B, E, W keys on the keyboard not functioning, scrolling track pad out of control, graphics card diminishing. Accept my apologies for slow responses, mis-spelled words, additional unintentional letters in words, fading graphics card.

We have:

posted AC 14 solo and archived files for those that can not access the V_V_V Mithoff BIM.
AC 13 was also placed in View Maker Brian's drop-box today.
View Maker Paul is doing his best to have EcoDesigner give us a report.
View Maker Steve is in the process of loading the MEP library.
Lots of give and take in the Markup discussions is happening, in real time.

Keep the Views flowing, they are our modern day drums, be they a plan, elevation, perspective, section, axonometric, schedule, statement, or layout. ArchiCAD makes it so very easy, don't you agree ?

Our beat is seen and heard in the syncopated Views, the result of prolific skills of View Makers !

Well said. I was really excited when someone wanted to do a global user based experiment like this. I thought it'd be a great thing to be a part of and some great promo for the community. But it's basically been impossible to decipher anything.

I've read every e-mail connected to this project and am still confused and a bit disappointed. The language used is really detrimental to the collaboration process and horribly obtuse. It's impossible to hold a conversation when someone is talking like that. Michael, please cut out all the goofy language and just explain to all of us in clean English how the project is going and what it's about. Many of us are excited to be involved and/or follow the project.

Our layout book is beginning to fill in V_V_V Mithoff BIM.

A layout book in ArchiCAD is a collection plans, sections, elevations, schedules, three dimensional visualizations, and other communicative forms of graphic and written expressions, collectively known as views.

"the layout book is filling in" translates as the Views are being populated into the BIM model, known to the View Makers as V_V_V Mithoff.

Our focus this week is to prepare the schedules, continue with the plan refinements, provide exterior ornamentation .

This week's directive step for the dozen active View Makers is to prepare the ArchiCAD database generated schedules, also continue with the plan refinements on any of the various eight levels of floor plates, mostly presented in colored zones, and finally to provide additional exterior ornamentation if deemed appropriate by individual designers.

This experiment has embraced self-directed individuals to take initiatives when communal contributions have been absent.
This approach is an intentional, non-conventional, heuristic strategy.
It is succeeding beyond expectations.

As one of the View Makers has RESERVED the layer with Air Handlers on the roof, clashing with the very beautiful, serene four story interior living wall element, he is being asked, outside the BIM, (as well as within the BIM) to relocate the air handlers nearer the seven story shaft of the building. Sometimes a user may not log in to the BIM and it is necessary to communicate by direct email, or for demonstration purposes in this thread you are reading.

Great...maybe I "shouldn't" have asked to clarify your comments Michael. I'm more confused now than I was before.....too many multi-sylabic words dude.

I'm a simple man dude...I just need explanations so a third grader can understand. Sorry dude but I'm "IN" the profession. I'm a designer. I've designed numerous buildings and if I, who is in the profession, cannot understand what you are trying to convey, then how can a client, who knows nothing about our profession other than he needs a building to fulfill his needs.....sorry man but I'm saying it as simply as I can.

Anyway you can condense all your rhetoric so we (I) the common lowly designer can understand?

Is there a "visual" website where all this jargon may be seen???

Four requests are put forth here for View Makers :

1. View Makers sign into the BIM model and in the Master Layouts on the 30 x 42 sheet, and place your name and the time zone you work while making your contributions. If you have not been able to gain access to the model, and want to see your name included in the follow-up publications, go to item 3 below, so you will be recognized for your participation.

2. View Makers take a few minutes and complete Step 4, this is an important task.

3. View Makers send your observations, comments, exceptions, and analysis for the experimental project to michael@scarmack.com.
