topic bim server user management to cater for multiple bim servers in Teamwork & BIMcloud

<R>hello,

apart from the known deficiencies of the AC14 bim server, here another thought for discussion.

i reckon graphisoft needs to rethink the current approach to bimserver user management (and at the same time should redo the bim server manager... ).

dealing with an ever growing user database as we move more projects to our current bim server is a already a real pain, but think of the pain of managing users on various bim servers.

in addition, check out this <S></S>http://goo.gl/zliik<E></E> archicadwiki entry, for GS' latest recommendations on bim server best practices...

Since each module has its own memory footprint, CPU cycle usage, and open ports, one module is the optimal number

here my suggestion: a central user repository (AD, OD, LDAP), which can be used by various bim servers connected to it.

any thoughts appreciated.
