<T>Hi everyone,
We are a small architecture firm. We use AC13 on two iMacs, with a BIM server installed on one of them. We're trying to set up our BIM server in AC13. So far we have several issues:

As all other documents (non-AC related) of the company, the libraries are saved in a shared folder in the same computer as the BIM server.

the path is the following:

MachintoshHD:Users: Shared: Library: Emu AC13 Libraries

Under "Emu AC13 Libraries", we have the default libraries (AC13, AC12) and other ones (Cigraph and so on).

The first problem we have is that if we assign only the "Emu AC13 Libraries" folder (and not the individual sub-folders) as the default BIM server library, then AC won't load the libraries contained in the sub-folders. This means that I can select the option to use BIM sever libraries from whithin AC, but if I try to loadanything from, say, a GDL object that belongs to a library in a sub-folder, AC won't show the library at all.

If we also assign the sub-folders to the BIM server library directly, AC will load them. However, AC doesn't let us remove the "Emu AC13 Libraries" folder from the BIM libraries list (we can remove all the other ones, but not this one).

Any suggestion about that? What do you think is the best way to manage a bunch of libraries for the BIM server?

Is it possible to set AC to load only the BIM server libraries as its default?

Thanks a lot!

Not sure if there are other ways, but as a policy all our AC13 files use BIM server based libraries only - that is all files whether solo or teamworked. That way we know with confidence that all are working with the same libraries.
By defining this in your template it sets the trend for future jobs too.

Only 'trap' is if you take a solo file home it still needs the BIM server libraries (unless you re-path to a local copy) - hopefully this will be fixed in 14...

That is a good policy. Teamwork Projects cannot use Linked Libraries anyway, only Embedded and BIM Server Libraries.
