topic TW2 + Copied Attributes in Teamwork & BIMcloud

<T>Under TW2 users without permission to add/delete/modify Attributes (set in their TW Role) can still copy-paste elements into the file from outside and thereby add Attributes (such as Layers, Linetypes, Fills, etc) which are not part of the projects Attributes.

This is IMO obviously broken (as it has always been since TW1)

If users in a TW file have no permissions to do something, then they should not be able to sidestep (even inadvertently) these restrictions by copying data in from outside files.

Is this still 'As Designed' .. i.e Graphisoft intends for this to happen, it is not a bug / broken feature?

A Model Manager should be able to set project Attributes up, establish user permissions and then have confidence everything will not be screwed up in a few weeks time after team members have copied in elements from old files, DWG's etc

cheers,
So I am now left wondering, why, when I have FULL PERMISSIONS and reserved the MATERIAL (and Fill) EDITOR ... I cannot change the associated FILL to an existing material or edit and existing fill definition (like adjust the angle)... I can create new ones, but this is obviously counter productive having already worked on this file for a couple of months.

I have encountered this, but once I did a send and receive I was able to edit.

Have you tried that?
