I have got one BIM server on Linux with a virtual machine windows xp (virtual box). it works fine.&lt;BR /&gt;

But, perhaps Wine would support it?  If so, don't know if that would result in much of a performance hit?&lt;BR /&gt;

You can buy a decent bare Windows box (do not need graphics - just good processor and fast memory) for under $500.  Seems a more reasonable solution for reliability...  On the Mac side, a Mac Mini is a good option for a small network.&lt;BR /&gt;
