BUT in the mean time... &lt;BR /&gt;
Deleting the (one) Autocad xref solves the problem. &lt;BR /&gt;
Makes me think it may be related to project origin (again - had other issues on same file due to this issue).</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;I'm getting a persistant error when attempting to place a hotlinked module which has been created in a negative story of the same teamworked file.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
"Error occured during the last Teamwork operation!&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Get Hotlink/XRef caches failed!"&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Hotlinks from external plns work as normal.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Help?&lt;/T&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

...Well I've determined that it is file-specific and not to with our server set-up (phew!).  I made a new, essentially empty TW2 file and successfully created a local hotlink.&lt;BR /&gt;
Now to weed out the offending content. Will keep adding my finds to this thread incase anyone else has the same problem.</description>

No one seems to have any experience with such an error message.</description>
