The material is very neet, with a simple slab ArchiCAD represents the slab as 3D boards in Open GL or Internal Engine, the problem is that the boards are like 12" wide and I need to make them 5". </R>

Hi Erika thank you. Have you used this material in paticular?(Wd-deck)
The material has some type pf GDL function in, that makes a continuoius slab show as separated boards when in 3D. I'd like to be able to configure the size of this boards. Thank you and regars,
I'm not seeing the separate board effect in 3D.
Where did you get the material ?
What version of AC are you using?
Does it come from an Add-on?

Hi Erika,
This is in AC12, I do't know where this material came from because I tried to start a new file from AC12 Template and the available list of materials is way smaller (and Wd-Deck is not there).
And the weirdest thing is that after trying a lot of different things yesterday to try to manipulate de size of the boards the 3D function I was talking about is gone. I don't know what happened to the material, I've been trying unsuccessfully to bring the material to it original settings...

Thank you any way for your attention...
But if you post screenshots of the dialog, I can tell if it is a bump map illusion or not.

Unfortunately I haven't saved any screen shot when it was working, but I am sure it wasn't a bump map because this would happen not only in the rendering window but also in the 3D window (in internal & in open GL engines)
The slab would be shown as several separate boards in the 3D window.

Just to clarify, a surface texture can only create the illusion of depth, no matter what the setting.

Not that the entire computer world isn't an illusion what with all of these great things we make 'sitting at typewriter and looking at telly.'

An illusion.

Are you sure it wasn't some kind of slab accessory (an add on) that physically created the boards. Maybe something by Cadimage or Cigraph perhaps?

If it was definitely 3d based, try turning on all the layers in the original file and see if it reappears again. Maybe you just turned it off by accident!
