rendering effects

Hi. i have been using ArchiCAD 12 student version for about 3 or so weeks. i am working on an theatre project just now and would just like some general info on how to inhance my renders like how to put better grass effects, light, clolor etc. The image below is where i am at the moment. Thanks.

I haven't done this tutorial, but looks like it could get you started in Lightworks:

Dwight's book is considered by many to be the Bible of Lightworks rendering, you can find his details on this site.

Material creation, selecting the right material etc can make or break your render, spend some time experimenting with this.

And the Lightworks 'Window light' is important for any interior views.

There is a limit to how 'realistic' Lightworks can be in ArchiCAD, if you are looking for the ultimate in realistic renders, then look towards 3D Studio Max with V-Ray or C4D with V-Ray, but that's a whole other world of hurt which i've just dived into.

Sketch renders: just experiment with the different settings, different pen thicknesses etc until you achieve your desired look. Lately i've been using Kor-I-Nor with antialiasing at 4 and paper roughness at 10, things I learnt from other posts on this site. So it's also worth while spending some time searching thru these forums for VERY helpful hints and ideas, there's some very talented people in here.

Artlantis is also very common with people in here. I personally don't like the style it produces, but that's just me, I prefer the realism that V-Ray produces. Artlantis is apparently very fast.
