<T>I created a fill to represent 16x8 CMU, I modified a material and set the fill to what I created. I have an exterior wall that is 32', the fill doesn't appear to align properly when I go to my exterior elevation! Any suggestions?</T>

This is always the case when your object doesn't appear on a module evenly multiplied from the absolute origin.

Archicad doesn't automatically map to a surface as we would like.

You'll use Design> Align 3D Texture feature to select the object when viewed in 3D and click on a corner of it to anchor the material repeat pattern to that corner. This resets the local origin for that material.
