The material of elements cut by the marquee is the same as the material set by the 3D Cutting Planes.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
So if you go to View&amp;gt; Elements in 3D View&amp;gt; 3D Cutting Planes and set the 'Fill Material &amp;amp; Edge Pen of Cuts' to Use Element Attributes, you will see the (side/end) surface material of the cut element.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Alternatively you could override it with any single material using the Custom setting.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <title>Trim elements to marquee problem</title>

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;I have a model where im making some 3d illustrations using the trim-elements-to-marquee option.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Problem is that i get the same surface texture on all the elements cut (and this is some kind of wood texture that looks really misplaced). Is this some kind of option one could turn off and instead choose to show the actual cut surfaces of the elements cut.&lt;BR /&gt;
