What we are going to do is substitute a new shader combination for the alpha channel image. This possible in Archicad 11 since now the brick shader formerly only available as a color shader in previous Archicad versions applies that shader in the Displacement Class - providing depth effects.

1: DUPLICATE the existing Flemish Bond Material. Name the new material
"Flemish Bond SHADER from Dwight to whom i will be eternally grateful and buy his book that will include this lesson as a part of the Archicad 11 supplement"

2: Select the Brick Bonds Shader under Color Class. Select Flemish under parameters. Adjust size and color to suit.

<T>I have selected the brick wall finish in flemish bond but would like buff/yellow brickwork instead of red/brown. When using the Lightworks rendering engine I can't change the colour. Could anyone assist please?
Thanks
Changing Brick Color:

Preamble:

Most users will appreciate the beauty of the brick patterns in Archicad’s brick materials.
These bricks are made with texture maps and their color cannot be changed.

Until Archicad 11, a texture map with alpha channel was the only good way to get bricks with relief - depth.

In that same material dialog we switch to the displacement Class:

MATCH the settings for the Color Class Shader with a "Wrapped Brick Bonds" Displacement Class Shader.

Now you have a completely editable brick that also reveals depth.

Yee hah.
