Maybe you could use the Solid Operations feature to cut out a random pattern on the corner? Maybe not perfect but it would remove the sharp corner.

<T>So how do you guys handle the corners of a stone building in a rendering?

I don't use square stone, it is all irregular, or river rock type of stone.

As you know when I map these materials to the sides of buildings and the corners are visable it looks like that stuff one would stick on the top of shelving in an old yucky apartment they just moved into.

I guess I am looking for some wonderful solution of yours.</T>
