AC11, don't see Artl export in 3D window, Add-on Manager

AC 11 1086 on a Mactel, I have an ArtlantisR-Studio_out.bundle file version 3.0(109) installed by default that I understand should be doing the thing, but I don't get the Save As option in the 3D window and I don't see the add-on in Add-On Manager.

There seems to be some correlation with some weird icon behavior.

The working add-ons have the normal 2D puzzle piece icon. With the Artlantis bundle file I am getting a 3D Lego piece icon, and this happens even when I copy the file from some other computer in which they are seeing the normal icon and the add-on works .

Yesterday I had the same problem with the C4D export add-on, which somehow got fixed in one of the many attempts, and I now realise it was showing the Lego icon before and is showing the 2D puzzle icon now.

Ignacio i know you are not on Leopard but maybe the problem has the same cause as my issues with the C4D add-on ... behaviour sounds exactly the same. Ralph posted a very helpful fix:

I did not. I've had too much work lately, I resorted to AC10 in that project instead. I'll try Ignacio's solution tomorrow if I have time.

I've made it work now thanks to all tippers. My solution was a bit different from Ignacio's although the problem seemed similar, see

Oh what fun for a year end! I too have had inordinate trouble getting the Artlantis export option to show: Having followed all the advice I could find on this forum, including changing the .bundle extension to .apx (thank you Pierre Judde), substituting Ignacio's add-ons (thank you Ignacio), and inserting a 'PkgInfo' file into the extension contents file (thank you Ralph Wessel) - all with their computer restarts ........... I still had no success.

The solution that has worked for me is to:

1. Save user profiles / templates / preferences / etc.
2. Remove 'offending' ArtlantisR-Studio_Out.bundle from Import-Export folder in 'Add-Ons' folder
3. Reinstall AC11 from the original CD (archive & install),
4. Install AC11-1114 update
5. Bingo! .........it works (for me, for now...)
6. Re-instate profiles / templates / preferences / etc
