Max 50% CPU with rendering

I'm currently doing a batch of renderings in AC10 (Lightworks 1024x576 @ 96dpi) and I was wondering if there was any way to increase the CPU usage? At the moment my pc uses max 50% for AC10 and increasing this would be great. Alternatively does anyone have tips for speeding up the render times? MY poor computer is averaging about 20 hours for each at the moment, mind you they are quite complex.

The specs of my pc are

Dell 8300
Intel P4 3.0Ghz
2GB Ram
128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Windows XP SP2

I have the latest drivers and updates so the problem is not there. May it have something to do with the hyperthreading?

If all else fails, lower your standards.

Two factors cancel use of the second processor:

Highest Anti-Alias setting

Ray-traced sun emanating from the Shader Class "Sun"
+ "Shader Type "Realistic Sun."

Don't use refraction in overlapping glass.

Also - you need more ram since Archicad can address all of your current resources and you need at least another Gigameg to run your machine.
