GDL cyclorama shading question

<T>I've created a background cyclorama for a VR panorama using GDL, as in the GDL cookbook.

Here's my question: I can turn the shadow casting off in GDL, but is there any way I can reduce the basic shading effect on the cyclorama cylinder? It still shows light and dark depending on the direction of the sun, which pretty much gives the whole show away.</T>

Oh shame on me.
The GDL Cyclorama calls a picture.
Can't make THAT "constant."
To get the constant thing to work, you must apply the material as a wall surface to a cylindric wall.

Actually, its worse than that. The book is great, but I'm not that keen on Lightworks. I'm using the old ArchiCAD rendering engine as a fast alpha channel tester. I'll do the serious rendering in Artlantis, which is where I really should be looking for an answer to the shading problem.
