<T>I've created a large auditorium as a GDL object. Without it on the site it photorenders fine but as soon as I add it to the building it doesn't photorender. It either finishes with just a white image or doesn't finish at all. Does anyone know what the problem is?</T>

Possibilities:

1. The combination is too complex.

2. There is a large offset from the project origin in the site model (many miles/km).

3. You are subtracting the building (SEO) from the site and it is freaking out.

4. You have shadows and high accuracy turned on in the site model and not in the original.

5. Something weird is happening.

Thanks. I'll work through your points and see if any solve the problem and if not it looks like number 5 is my answer.

Obviously this file is too big. You can try to cut polygons for some items in 3DMax and then convert them to the project again.

Not obvious. Possible, perhaps likely, but there are other suspects.

I have never seen a file fail to render due to excess complexity (doesn't mean it can't happen of course). I have seen them take a <S></S>really<E></E> long time though.
