Hi All

I hope you are doing well during these trying times.

Thank you for sharing the issue!

From your screenshot, I can think of 2 settings that can affect how the light/shadow affects a material in 3D window.

1. Sunlight intensity:

This Intensity value multiplies the Brightness component of the Sunlight color. The higher the value, the brighter the color. In this case, because the light was too strong, the texture of stucco disappears due to the brightness (imagine you over-exposure a picture. The highlight (bright) area will become too bright and lose details).

2. Material's ambient

The Ambient control sets the percentage of ambient light the surface is able to reflect. This determines how much a surface is subject to brightening effects (as opposed to shades or highlights caused by directional light). If this set to very low, the material will not reflect any light in the transitional zone. As in this example, if I set Ambient to 0, the dark zone of the brick becomes completely black.

There are some other settings that may affect how light and shadow appear on a surface. I suggest playing around with the settings above to get the desired look. Let me know if this helps!

Thank you very much!

Best regards,

<T>Hi!
Attached, I have wall with stucco texture, but texture shows only on shadowed part. On the other hand, stone texture doesn't show or turns to dark with no texture. Is there a way to show surfaces or is it because of light, too dark or too bright?
Thanks.
Hello Jiffy,

Your textures are here but do you try to configure your surface "exposure to light" parameters ?

Do you try to render you image with Cinerender ?
My material configurations are often less good than yours. The CineRender calculation time is nonetheless possible. I think you should look into the CineRender settings.
I do not understand want you want to write. 😕
For the best 3D export I invite you to create a BimX :
Hi,

I have created the new material which is already there in the library. I nedd to give the sizes for that so that I can see the tiles or the marble like.

What to do.

I have given the sizes.

See I have attached the image.

The lines should be seen for 21"x3' the marble size.

Thank you,

You won't see actual lines for tiles unless your image has lines around the outside to represent the grout (joins).
