Your renderings are fantastic.
I notice that your house has a stair that goes nowhere. Might I suggest the addition of what Eastern Canadians call a mother in law door - a door on an upper storey that doesn't have a balcony or a landing.

Hi Nico,

Finally, a beautiful rendering as well as a thoughtful building design. Thank you for not making my brain hurt (we so often see posts here illustrating decent renderings, but of iffy designs...IMO).

One question if you have time to answer; how did you achieve the effect of the ground cover extending up next to the base of the structure? I love the way the building softly nestles into its pad.
Thank you, Stewart.

As one of the few Engineers on this site I wanted to have the same comment.

When asked "can we do this?', my response is always you can almost do anything you want, given enough money.

The Cantilevered Structure will create quite a Moment at the structure that sits on the ground. The Structure on the ground may need to have very deep embedded pilings to counter-act the couple.

Nice rendering but I wonder what our engineers would say about this... The floor is rather thin and the glazing doesn't seem to be able to function as a large framed beam. Some diagonal braces would at least hint at a possible constructional solution.

Was thinking the same thing engineer as I am..or was... I imagine a fat concrete foundation anchoring steel wires that goes up in the mid wall and then out in the roof...just like a bride construction. The room (walls and slab made of light wight steel combo..or a crane for that part) would then hang from the roof. Nice "no-gravity" architecture otherwise. I like the clean impression.
