Well modeled for your first attempt. I suggest purchasing Dwight's book on rendering in Lightworks. Although written for LW, many of the principles for general lighting, thinking like a photographer and presentation still apply. Finally and as far as I know, textures and materials are easily modified in Art-R, but are initially based on settings within AC9.

<T>i am a novice at rendering. If there are any artlantis users out there reading this, Please tell me how I'm I suppose to get a clean render in that program. Is it possible for me to save my textures of my walls etc so in artlantis i can jus play with there rendering parameters. I am having a pain bringing in my model in artlantis r.

I am posting a pic of my very very very first model done in archicad and was recently rendered in artlantis r (which i had no clue on wat to do to get a good rendering).</T>

kjverine,

The Artlantis R forums (from Abvent, the manufacturer) are where you should ask about things beyond exporting from ArchiCAD.

http://www.artlantis.com/support/forum/

All of your ArchiCAD textures should export fine to "R", provided you have installed the latest version of the "9 to R" export add-on from the Artlantis web site. (The Artlantis-out that ships with ArchiCAD 9 and earlier is for Artlantis 4.x, not "R".)

http://www.artlantis.com/download/demo/

Cheers,
