I can't confess to sharing in your misfortune as I haven't had this problem myself, but some thoughts occur to me. Since you mention rendering at the same proportions I assume that you matched the rendering window to the 3D.

Did you zoom the 3D window prior to rendering or is it a straight up camera view? I have found that zooming sometimes produces different results in the renderer.

Does it work rendering with the internal engine?

Is it just a matter of cropping one view to the other to get them to line up in PM or is the perspective distorted?

<T>Any other unlucky punters out there who can comment on this?

Save a view from the 3D window, then
save the same view to come from the photorendering engine (Lightworks).

Now, obviously care must be taken that these are both set to render at the same proportions.
However
I get different results in each window!

Overlaying the output in plotmaker (and making the 3d window output transparent) the field of view differs.

Go figure!

If you have any ideas I'd really appreciate it!</T>

I think for some reason the Lightworks reads camera information differently. I was trying to align a background image recently, with the alignment looking o.k. in the 3D window but not in LW. Turned out it was because I had "rolled" the camera to align my model with the background, but the LW rendering ignored this roll. So what you see is not always what you get. (WYSINAWYG).

Here's the thread <LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... lign#49030">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=49030&highlight=camera+align#49030</LINK_TEXT>

Why this should happen, your guess is a good as mine.
