topic 'fuzzy materials' in Visualization

<T>In the following rendering some of the materials, especially the furniture appears very unreal and 'fuzzy'.
What's wrong with it? I read an earlier topic, in which someone commented on the need for higher light resolutions. However, I'm pretty sure they're all as high as can get.
I used window lights, the sky light and the archicad inbuilt realistic sun (because the sun light object caused other problems earlier).

I hope someone can help.

Thanx.</T>

Look here

<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... hp?t=11206">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=11206</LINK_TEXT>

if this doesn't help, than:
- check your render method/antialiasing/resolution
- check material displacement setting
- render with only one light/lamp to compare

The "resolution" issue is related to the number of samples the realistic sun method employs. You set this relative to the size of the rendering and proximity of shadows to the viewpoint. What is your sample number set to?

Try 128.

Try 512 if you have all night.
