Hi,

I take it that you want to apply a texture image to a material, and to apply that material to an ArchiCAD object.

The way to do this in ArchiCAD 10 is in the Options menu select Element Attributes and Materials.

If you want to create a new material then duplicate an existing material. I usually chose one similar to what I want in terms of colour and reflectance.

Then you can add your texture to the material using the texture settings at the bottom of the material settings.

You can browse to your texture using the load other object button, or if you have already added it to a loaded library folder it will already be available in the library.

You can then scale the texture and determine how it is tiled.

When you have applied your new material to your object , you can then open the 3D window and align the texture by selecting the Align Texture sub-menu in the Design menu. In this way you can get a graphical image such as a shop sign to start in the right place, or to be at the correct angle. These align texture commands don't work for library objects as far as I know.

Textures will be visible if you look at the 3D window with the OpenGL 3D engine selected, and if you photorender views.

Hope that helps.

If you want to know about textures with the Lightworks render engine you better contact Dwight or buy his book.
