I agree 100%. Please add to the Wishlist.. This has to be the only CAD site I know without a user gallery... Even the "Design Showcase" is asleep.

<T>I miss kind of "user gallery" on this forum where we could put our work to discuse. It's been a while since AC9.0 came out and I still cannot find any dedicated place to see how others cope with this new engine. I found here many helpful topics but very few 'effects'. I'm very curious how do you guys feel about LW.

Feel free to comment anything.
What gets me is the natural uneven shapes and (on other renders) slightly rounded edges on your objects. Wonderful. This couch is obviously not modelled using slabs and walls. How do you do it?

Thank you all for kind words.

Bryan:
<S></S>Is that really all lightworks? No photoshop? If so that is unreal!<E></E>

My goal is always to extract as much 'realism' as possible directly from AC/LW that's why I try to avoid doing any 'post work' if possible. If not I would just go for Artlantis R and wouldn't spend hours tweakin' textures and lights, but I belive that as soon as you get thru this LW can actually save your time.
During my studies I used to use combination of AC 6.5 and Artlantis 4.0 and I was often workin' like "oh well it's good enough (even if it wasn't) now let's see how it looks in ArtL" or "this corner doesn't look right but I will put a flower there in PS". After switching to ArtL I hardly ever returned to AC to improve something. Now having built-in LW I focus more on modeling then rendering, simply don't feel this chase for quick effect.
In most cases I'm satisfy with what AC/LW cook for me. Only thing I did with this one was to desaturate it just a little bit. Mostly because of too colourful floor texture.

<S></S>"You ever think about challenging Dwight as Render Guru / God!"<E></E>

Actually it was Dwight who pointed some crucial issues about lights and I simply followed him, so I feel more like his debtor than competitor.

s2art:

This couch is a model converted from 3ds and optimized in Wings 3D (grate software BTW). Round edges I made with AF2.0. Maybe I should get some credits for promoting the software, don't you think Fabrizio? (just kiddin')

Rashid Garuba:

will do that
Ok, couldn't resist. I was playing some more with the lights (looking for cool sunrise mood). Here is combination of 2 windowlights, 1 sunobject and 1 skyobject. No post work exept of decreasing size.

I really can't beleive this is from a computer-- even the duplication of tiles is well done. And the leather!
