Without sacrificing quality.

I am located in Arizona. I had a client a year or so ago who decided to have structural work for an 8,000 sq. ft residence done out of state to save a measly $500 on the job.

To date, it has cost him over $20,000 in errors in the field.
In reference to the quality... they are renderings, not engineering, and they don't look bad to me... but not my style, so I'm not interested.

I know houseplans.com, they resale some of my plans. (in fact the bungalow on the index page is an AC rendering (Artlantis). I called the owner up, who is an Architect. He said they bought about 900 plans and had them do the renderings, but paid $100 each, not $50... and based on 900 of them. He said they were very professional and have actually sent more to them.

Ahhh.. the world economy... the global equalizer is upon us:)))

Dear Sirs, thank you for your comments.

We enter this industry by offering our best service. We do honesty work and get decent pay, nothing wrong with it.

We never approach anyone at retail level, only coordinate with wholesalers. It protects your profit margin and increased your efficiency.

It is a good opportunity for anyone who realizes it to utilize our services. Outsourcing is a trend of the world.

We are not the industry killer, but a reliable service provider. Thank you.
Iin my opinion this is a killer. First we let them make renderings for 50$ (100$ whatever) then if no one will stop it they will start doing projects etc, etc. How many people will lose jobs because of that ? Maybe in China this 50$ is a lot of money and they can live for that, but those jobless renderers will have to face high costs of living here. Second thing is - I doubt if the use legal software for making those renderings. We have to face problem of buying expensive software. But if no one here will buy software, and they will not buy the software - that will kill also other industry. I hope we will be able to protect ourselfs against that kind of job stilling.

[RAMBLE]

outsourcing, in my opinion is not a trend of the world, it is a trend of short sighted stupidity in executives. I was speaking with a colleague yesterday about outsourcing, and it's really disturbing how much work is being moved out of country, and not only work but also money, it's a slightly different situation, granted, but take a look at how many American banks are being bought by foreign banks, or just moving offshore, ABN-AMRO/StandardFedral (now LaSalle) which is one of the largest banks in the country, now offshore, Citizens Financial group / charter one is now owned by the royal bank of scotland, plc. , ever retail credit card you get is owned by HSBC... which is hong kong shanghai banking corporation....There's too many to list, and to be hoenst I wouldn't be surprised if Bank of America was owned by a foreign bank. So much of America's assets and capital as a country is being moved out of the country, it's frightening to think that with this trend, some of these countries could cripple America by pulling the carpet out from underneath us. anyway though I'm going to stop now... I might be off-base in my statement, but I havent had coffee yet, and.. it's Friday.
Interesting thoughts on the subject are in "The World is Flat" by Thomas L. Friedman.

There will always be good & bad outsourcers.
But the trend will not go away.
How are you/I going to respond to the reality?

(If you wish to rail about it, you best avoid 98% of N. America retailers & 99% of the products sold as it's all part of a changed world)

Does anyone have leads for a reliable outsource who uses AC?
It is very interesting in reading your comments. I am happy that our web site is up again. There, we showed certain our recent works including water color. Quality is always our first concern. We are good guys AND we use ArchiCAD nicely, so don’t shoot us!
And if you want to get really scared by the negative side of those who are <S></S>abusing<E></E> outsourcing (hint: most major North American retailers but some REALLY bad), read Naomi Klien's "No Logo"

(Full disclosure: She is a fellow Canuck [Canadian] who is involved with myself & Dwight in a plot to allow Canada to take over the world & force you all to eat poutine & beaver tails):P

Be prepared to forgo McDonald's & Walmart forever.
