    <description>Artlantis ultimately provides better lighting and render quality, but is crippled by rudimentary material definitions.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
It will soon offer animation capabilities that provide sophisticated camera controls. I think it is better for occasional renderings because it gives quicker feedback when you make a change.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
LightWorks is already in ArchiCAD and is properly connected to internal material definitions. I think it is better in making design development images as the design evolves.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Neither approach is automatic - it  takes a long time to become expert.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If you want to be a professional illustrator, neither application is adequate. Look to Cinema 4D, LightWave and Electric Image - Max, even.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;hi i have a problem in materials preview.&lt;BR /&gt;
i want the material of the pavement to look like the opengl file i attach but when i render it in lightworks it appears like pink and blured.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
what can i do to make it look like the opengl???&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>In the case of texture maps only (excluding shaders), the way to make textures appear similar in OpenGL and in the LightWorks engine is to start by placing the material in the material dialog for the ArchiCAD Internal engine. This is the place OpenGL refers to when making a texture.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Explained on page 9 of my book.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Then you use the "Match Internal..." button to establish the texture in LightWorks.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
But of course, it flips the texture, so you must flip it back.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
This is detailed on page 114 of my book&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
BTW: The rendering engines DO work differently, so they will always differ in appearance. Also OpenGL cannot mirror textures.</description>

      <description>you are right i do it like you say i see it in internal and then match in lightworks but it doesnt match at least it didnt &lt;BR /&gt;
