<T>Can anyone help me get a more chrome/stainless steel look to this image. I keeps rendering more gray than anything else.

I've been through just about all the Lightworks shaders but none has that final metalic reflective look.

Thanks in Advance.</T>

No wonder, since the "Chrome" material in the "Color" section is, in fact, what you'd get if you were airbrushing "chrome" in a painting, not the polished metallic mirroring we understand as a chrome finish. Somebody at Lytewyrx has a sense of humor.

For metal effects that interact with the raytracing aspect of rendering, you'll need the presets found in the "Metals.lwa" file available from:

http://www.lightworks-user.com/

Put this lwa file in your ... I'm not sure the official place --- but I made a folder in my library called "LightWorks Materials" and it finds them all there.

When you want to make the new material, click the "Load From Archive"
button in the material dialog to access the metals.lwa list.

Or just make the tubing a total mirror and see if that is close enough.

Much better, I made it all mirror.

Now it actually looks like chrome.

Thanx for the tip Dwight, that was good trick- never thought about that.

Muddasick, tell us how did render time behaves although as the scene is simple may be you might not notice.
The rendering time didn't take long at all, no window lights just sun object.

Mbarouk, are you talking about the rendering of just the table, or are you talking about the rendering in "take a look" thread???
