<R>having some issues with rendering a library part with an image map (incl alpha channel)

as you can see from the attached... the alpha appears to be working.... but for some reason i cannot seem to get rid of the grey-ish translucent-ish background

any help would be greatly appreciated

this has been rendered in archiCAD (lightworks)

the alpha channel etc seems to work ok using the internal rendering engine

thanks in advance </R>

dwight

weird... all looks great with your rendering

is it possible to copy and paste the gdl from the object that you have used (or attach it so that i can download).... that way i can check it against what i have.... maybe i have screwed something up (though there is not much to screw up here i would have thought)

thanks again for all

lubosC + dwight

thanks again for all your help on this one.... it appears to be working correctly now..... even though there appears to be no real discernable difference with the code of all 3 objects... at least in the masking etc that may have affected the renderings

on another note.... it would appear that if a small piece of the image that has an alpha channel touches an edge of the picture plane (say the bottom edge)... then it seems to wrap to the top and create a small dirty fragment up there (see attached image)

any thoughts on this (apart from leaving a 1 pixel gap at the bottom of the image to be used)

thanks again for all
