photoshop replacement

can anybody make a suggestion please??
for personal reasons i will remove photoshop cs from my computer..and need other image-enhancer software....i had used in the past: photoimpact, photopaint pro,,, i just ordered the adobe (stefan comment) dont recall the name...........can u please share something? thx

Photoshop Elements is good and much cheaper then Photoshop CS.

Gimp is free and usable.

Paint Shop Pro is also cheap.

What is exactly your question?

phshop cs freezes too often on me so it has been trashed...i ordered your suggestion phshop elements to give it a try....i just wanted to hear some comments on others softwares, thx x responding stefan and will try the elements one....
phpaintpro is really good for some reason i had problems handling big files....the same goes x ph impact.
