Stunning image quality. Standard engine in Max?

It all looks exceptional except the pillows on the couches at the far end of the room. Also the tulips in the vase to the left could have more imperfections. Perhaps a little post work with photoshop to correct the floating white vases to the left, radiosity tends to do shadow leaks.

Please describe the light setup, the LightWorks users here would typically be using about 10+ lights to accomplish anything near this quality.

If that is the way the ocean looks down south, I want to go scuba.

BTW, how do you embed the image into your post? I have seen a few people do that. I have also seen people attach a separate image file that is actually the same size as the preview which is rather funny.

I use 3ds max + Vray. In this alone scene it uses 2 lights, 1 light to simulate the sun and 1 light to illuminate the interior.
To attach a big image it is necessary to have a web server and later to use the command Img.

Beautiful image and composition ... and thank you for sharing the tile floor texture!

Aside from Mark's comments about floating objects ... and also wishing I were snorkeling in that beautiful azul ocean instead of looking at snow and clouds: the color tone of the interior light doesn't feel 'right' to me.

The sunlight should have more warmth to it, and the radiosity light in the room should be warmer and have some of the color of the tile floor onto which it falls, and the ambient might carry some of the blues from the sky and ocean. The light in the room is more of a winter-bouncing-off-snow white light.

A design thing that is totally an opinion(!): I go crazy when I see "can" lights distributed as a matrix in the ceiling of a room. Maybe because I did theater lighting as one of many school activities, I think of interior lighting in terms of theater and creating scenes and accents. Even though your lights are not on (and don't need to be, the distribution of lights makes the room feel cold and commercial to me.

Ah, one other little thing - have to really search in such a beautiful image - the wood grain on the door casing (and picture frame) is all vertical. The bamboo looks fine at this size, but I can see that it is really an oak texture rather than bamboo (which has joints) ... a true bamboo with a bump map at the joint would look cool there. 😉

Oh thx for your comments Karl Ottenstein...the design belongs to my client... although if I could change several things...jejejeje....

on the illumination: him but difficult for my it is to achieve an interior where the colors come out natural (although it feels sometimes very cold)... him but easy it is that they mix the colors and I don't sometimes like that... jejejeje

However - please have mercy on the people that are on dialup, and instead of using IMG, post a link. My connection is anything but slow, and the image is loading while I read the whole topic, am writing this, and am sending.

Ok. It is that in other forums I get used to go up the images using the command IMG, I will try to compress but the images so that many KB doesn't weigh.
I like the work of IvanG a lot... I also use the same technique... ArchiCAD9+3dsmax...jejejejeje
