Many archiCAD users use C4D for advance render (especially the lighting effect) , however, no one (very very few) would use C4D in our Univeristy or Hong Kong. They use 3D studio max, viz or Form Z in usual. So I want to know more which software is good to me.
As I said, the one you know how to use.

If you are on ArchiCAD 9, as you are not, the Lightworks rendering (the same as in FormZ without radiosity) is more than enough.

The fact that not much is heard about other software than the most powerful one does not mean that it is best suited for what you do.

<T>Hi! I'm student of MArch. I use archicad + art-lantis for my presentation mostly. Our computer lab. provide Viz 2005 and I have C4D 8.5(student version).

Could anyone suggest the comparsion on these based on import time; render time; final result of image (both have radiosity); compatibility with archiCAD...

It's difficult to choose and 2nd semester is coming...</T>

Which software are you more familiar with?

That is the key.

The software might have options, and features - it is how well you know to use them that gives the final result, in the designated time. Learning a whole new software when chasing deadline is never a good idea.
