i fetched for a solution and found that reflecting reference line location can give you the desired result,

The walls join based on their 'structure' settings (building material/composite), same structure = no lines.

Even though you are overriding the fill with the graphic overrides/renovation filters, they are still technically the same structure.

Therefore there will be no joining line.

If reference lines do not touch, walls will not trim to each other and therefore will show the end lines (if they are turned on).

However this may affect how the walls trim with other walls.

You also can't simply drag doors and windows from one wall across into the other (will stay associated with the original wall it is placed in rather than re-linking to the other wall).

But if these are not problems you encounter, then moving the reference line is a good solution.

If the walls are identified truly as new and existing using the renovation filters you can select the option within the renovation filter settings that new and existing elements do not intersect. You will then get a hard line between the new and existing wall.

We generally have several version of the 'same' building material. With a high priority if it has a structural function, lower if it has a non-structural function and in the case of renovation projects we will add 'existing' versions of the building materials for the 'existing' part of the model. This solves this issue, as the new wall will have a different building material (even if the real-world material would be the same).
