Physically based rendering display problem in AC28

I have a regular problem with Physically based rendering on my Intel iMac Pro, where the display will go completely black.

This happened in OSX 13 Ventura in the technology preview. I thought it was a glitch, and when OSX 15 Sequoia was released I upgraded to OSX 14 Sonoma because there are still glitches with AC and Sequoia.

Unfortunately the same black screen problem is still here with the final release and the OS update. When the black screen problem occurs, there's nothing that can be done to fix it other than disabling the PBR display mode.

This is what it looks like with PBR on after the black screen occurs:

If you look closely you can see the shadow of the model.

If I turn it off, I can get a normal display.

Restarting the application does not fix the problem.

This is a fundamental issue with functionality - it doesn't work properly on all systems.

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based 14 Sonoma

Reminds me of what happens when some renderers run out of memory.

This shouldn't be the case. There isn't a problem when using Twinmotion with Archicad open, and that ought to take up way more memory.

Hi @Jim Allen ,

Is this the case with all other models as well? Or is it something that you experience only with specific model(s)?

Kind regards,
