Hello

I really appreciate you using all means to help me. But what I was trying to clarify is that the project I sent images for is started and still being designed by Archicad 23. The second thing is that those objects I sent screenshots for are downloaded from "Archibase". So when I put them in my project, it shows up as you can see, even when I try to change the texture.

Thanks again for your help and I hope you can help me more.

Ps: I am not as good at Archicad as you guys are, so please, if there are any basic things I need to know or steps I can follow, let me know. Thanks

Any time you see a checkerboard pattern like that it means that the surface texture associated with that element is missing. Click on the slab and examine the settings.

To enhance what Karl has said, the texture image file needs to be in your loaded libraries.

Check the surface settings to see what it should be or you should see a warning in the Library Manager.

You seem to have a mixture of languages in your libraries.

You have 'Archicad Library 25' and the 'Archicad Migration Libraries' - I assume these are INT language.

You then have 'Bibliotheque Archicad 19' which is a different language and has not been loaded properly (hence it is 'missing').

My guess is that the missing surface texture images are in that library.

Whatever language your Bibliotheque library is from, you should probably be loading the Bibliotheque Library 25 and the corresponding migration libraries, then you will not need to load Bibliotheque Library 19 at all.

You need to find and load 'Bibliotheque Archicad 19'.

It is not ideal to mix libraries from various languages as it can create problems with duplicates of objects and macros.

Unless you are happy to to that.

That is what I was suggesting in my last paragraph, load only the libraries from one language.

But if you do that now and you have used any objects from the INT library, they will become missing instead.

Read,

English.

You're missing the ArchiCAD 19 library which was used initially in the project file. It's the french version of the library by the way.

You should ask the owner of the file to send you their library or make a .pla version of the project.

Since you're using ArchiCAD 25, the easiest would be to change the texture of checkerboard pattern objects so that they're using surfaces in the ArchiCAD 25 library

In the picture below is an exemple of texture linked to a surface. This is what is missing in your project

The black/purple chequer board pattern means that the texture image file is missing from your loaded libraries.

If you look in the Library Manager you will see a list in warnings section telling you the names of the missing texture files.

You need to load these in a linked library or add them to the embedded library.

Unfortunately I can not tell you where you can find them

They should be part of the download from Archibase I assume.

Still being designed in 23? Doesn't that mean you need to backsave to 24, open that, then backsave again to 23? Maybe go get the AC23 library and skip the migration as the names of texture files sometimes changes...
