Datasmith ETA?

Does anyone have any info on the ETA for Datasmith? I've checked their forum, they have the question up for the past 2+ months with no response. Anyone have an inside scoop?
Twinmotion has become an instrumental part of one of my clients workflows, but we are always hung up on moving into the latest AC, sometimes by several months, due to their lack of response and effective roll out of the plug-in.

(I do want to note, that yes, I am aware of alternative workflows: saving to FBX or SKP. Howerver, these formats always result in incorrect texture mapping and major shifts in project origin relationship that have us spending about as long as it takes to get the datasmith release to get back on track... so it's a non-starter).
I really want to move one of their projects into 28 to utilize the keynote features, but document efficiencies balanced against rendering inefficiencies is a hard sell every year!
If anyone at GS reading this has any influence with them, can we get a better turn-over on their plug-in?

Bump; anyone have any insight into this? epic games/datasmith seems to always hold up my clients, and they never seem to give a clear delivery date on their plug-in

I got the news, that the new plugin that works with the new engine and Archicad 28 may arrive in the first two months of 2025.

Is there a reason why there's such a lag every time? What can be done to get you all to work with each other in a better way? Is this simply a case of Epic being their usual oblivious selves? Evidence that they're eventually dropping support?

This lag every. single. year. is frustrating when we were promised a such fluid connection that was the result of a partnership between these two companies.

I wonder if it is clear to Twinmotion how many total architects (large and small offices) rely on Twinmotion to be on pace with Archicad 28, and how many (mistakingly) already switched projects to Archicad 28 and are now unable to sync with Twinmotion. The costs in that alone, especially when Archicad version updates are notable, will be enough to justify paying for a different rendering software for many despite Twinmotion being free, rather than waiting ±4 months for TM compatibility.

'Archicad 28 support has been added to the datasmith exporter and is being tested. It should be published in January with the 5.5.2 hotfix'

Graphisoft needs to push Epic Games to release the Datasmith plugin. Archicad 28 is basicly useless for our studio untill the plugin is released.

Maybe Graphisoft thought AI Visualizer would replace Twinmotion within the architecture practices. As problem solvers, we still need Twinmotion to be able to bridge artistic vision with technical comprehension taking into account the existing conditions of the projects' site. Thus, this long delay in releasing the Datasmith plug-in doesn't help. Who are responsible for that?

yeah, and now we need to switch to the lease/subscription if we want to use the AI 'waste of an afternoon' rendering solution

YES! Epic seems to have given up on developing their plugin. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if AC30 is out before they get the Datasmith available for 29.

Have you tried looking into D5 render?

I suggest you to look into this renderer, they are free to use but if you want to use most of their assets you need to pay subscription (I know not what we want to hear right now) 😆

So you will have several options under your belt if one fails.

OK, this is to the Mac users here. I cannot get the Datasmith add-on to load in AC add-on folder. I drag plugin to the Archicad>Add-Ons>Import-Export folder as TM instructions show. But I cannot get to load in AC26-AC28. I just downloaded the Datasmith Add-on 5_5_2.

What obvious thing here am I missing?!

If you click the Datasmith item in the list, does it give you any additional info in the Dialog about why it is not loaded?

Can you post the exact Archicad build you are working with?
