Hi Stuart,

Thank you for the answer!

However, looks like just changing fills in this dialog box doesn't work as well
as one might hope. i.e. if I choose a different air space fill with a different #
it doesn't work. If I use a different stipple from this blued out button place it works
, but I can't figure out why it doesn't have all the stipples that I have in the regular fills location. It would be great if I could add a lot of stipples to this location and have them (the dots) spaced so far apart that no one could get the idea that I am trying to show diferent materials.

Can I add more stipple fills to this place? How to do this?
why is it different from the other fill place? just changing fills there doesnt work.

<T>I have 1/2" gyp bd. shown against the rafters and then under that is
3/4" thick 2 x 4 Cedar T&G boards. The line between them in section is disappearing because the surfaces are touching.
Anyway to have that line read?</T>

Johnathan,
You still have 'Legacy Mode' turned on so you are seeing your junctions as they are in 16 or before.
Turn Legacy mode off and so long as you are using 2 different Building materials then you will still see the joining line.

Options menu > Project Preferences > Construction Elements...

Otherwise you will need to make sure that you use different fills in the Building Materials.
The fills can all be the same (i.e. empty fill) but they must have a unique name (and hence unique attribute Index Number).
Thanks Barry!
Interesting thing, when I turned the leagacy off, while it did allow all the different air space numbers to be utilized (the good part) I noticed that many of my walls around the project had one surface out of the three surfaces turned off. I had to go around and find them all and turn the surface back on.
