You will want to look into using the Attribute Manager to transfer your attributes for the new template into you old one.
Be warned it can get very messy depending on whether you 'Overwrite' or 'Append' the attributes.

'Overwrite' will replace your existing attributes - maybe not what you want if you have customised them to suit your needs.

'Append' will add all attributes as new ones but you may end up with a lot of duplicates that way.

I could probably write a short essay on Attribute Management (but I'm not going to!) as there are many posts in this forum that talk about them.

Always make sure you keep a copy of your original file just so that if you get into trouble you can trash the changes and go back to what you had before.

<T>I am presently using a template created with a previous version.

AC18 gives me a certain number of surfaces to work with while using the above mentioned template.

However, I noticed that if I start a new project using the AC18 Residential tpl there are a larger number of Surfaces available than when I use my old template.
I assume that ny template has surfaces attached from the time and version it was created.

QUESTION : Is there a way I can make these new found surfaces available for my project opened using my old template ?</T>

Thanks Barry, I have forgotten the Attributes Manager and using a duplicate file of the work in progress I was able to modify the surfaces.

Now I am wondering if I am missing other attributes I will regret now knowing they are available. I better check after a gtood night sleep.

Thanks again
