One question, what do you mean by "Shaded 3d document" that can be saved as vector file?
Would you kindly let me know how to do this (save as scalable vector file for illustrator)?
utilizing 3d view for elevation/section view

<T>I was wondering, is it possible to create an floor plan, elevation, section from the 3d view?

For instance, instead of using a drawing of an elevation, I wanted to use the "more realistic" 3d view in parallel/prespective view, using the "look to perpendicular of clicked surface" command. (this way, it looks like a drawing but its "fancier", better for presentations)

So far, the only way I can think of is, save the 3d model as bimx, then in bimx, set it to parallel view, then adjust the view manually using the mouse to the side i want to look at.

My questions are:

1.
Is there a way to "look to perpendicular of clicked surface" in bimx?
In Archciad, the outlines still show up in 3d view, so I want to use bimx for a cleaner look...
Or, is there a way to make it so that outlines in 3d objects do NOT show up?

2.
Is there a way to edit 3d view to my needs, and save it in a format I can use in illustrator at the right scale? I can set the scale when I save floor plans, elevation, and section as pdf or dxf, but cant seem to find it in the3d view option.

ANy help would be appreciated, thank you.</T>

BIMx is not needed here and only makes things more complicated.

To get the clean 3d view you want within AC, go to your 3d window settings and set Contours to 'off'.

The 3d view or rendering will typically be an image format. Render to enough pixels to scale and overlay to your scaled, annotated drawing. Or create a shaded 3D Document which is itself scalable or can be saved in a vector format for Illustrator, etc.
