topic 'Random Origin' has no effect in 3D window in Visualization

Hey!

The 'Random Origin' option for surfaces has no effect on the texture alignment for objects in 3D view. I read this thread https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Visualization/Random-Origin-on-surface-has-no-effect/m-p/289392 regarding the issue and the answer then was that it's not currently working for open GL, only for rendered views using Cineware, which I can confirm is still the case. The thread is from 2019 so I guess my question is, shouldn't this have been fixed? If it's not meant to work in open GL / basic rendering views I don't see why it would even be an option for the basic material settings. I do not use the Cineware render, but I do want my 3D views to have less texture repetition – for example curtain walls with multiple frames with the same surface look terrible and the random origin would fix this.

I've added two screenshots showing the same model, where I've used a curtainwall for wood siding, rendered in OpenGL and Cineware, and the terrible texture repetition in the first.

Any word on this @Daniel Kovacs ?

Operating system used: Windows
