This can be done by using a Cover Fill for the 2D (Plan) view, and textures with the OpenGL Engine (or PhotoRendering) in the 3D Window, including Parallel Projection Setting > Top View for a Plan view in the 3D Window.
You can use Image Fills.
Search in the Help File for "Image Fills".

The easiest approach is to use simple cover fills.

In a "Design Graphics" July 2001, article she talks
about her process. At that time it was strictly a
2D linedrawing import with lots of Photoshop.

I think you can easily see how to get her look in far less
time with AC today + minor Photoshop.
Just asking...

Is possible to assign a slab a fill and see the image fill in some plans and a vector fill in other ones?

Or see the vector fill in plans and image fill in 3D views? In a top plan?

Sometimes is useful to have some plans in line and other ones filled with patterns...

Thank you!!

check out https://www.pixelsquid.com/ which is mostly for use with Photoshop.

Just a simple screen shot of these can be used in ArchiCAD.

Here's what I do...
- Use Cover Fills w/BACKGROUND pen set to ILLUSTRATIVE COLOR
- For the PRESENTATION PLAN, show background colors in all their glory
- For rest of plans... OVERRIDE background colors with EMPTY or WINDOW

Benefits...
- The color plan TRACKS the actual plan without having to replace / move a bunch of stuff each time a plan upgrade takes place
- Can globally change colors of ALL FURNITURE if I want.

REQUIRES:
- Setting up PENS with special rows for ILLUSTRATIVE colors
- Sometimes I essentially DUPLICATE the same VIEW with EMPTY
- All elements to have COVER FILLs

BACKGROUNDS to use as LINEWORK on top of color so that (for example, Trees that cover up building corners will not cover linework).

It's actually easier that it sounds... and once your pens and favorites are set up to accommodate, it's easy to manage.
