You would have to duplicate the image and edit it in photoshop or similar to generate different colours for the internal engine. The cinerender engine may allow you to edit the various colour elements of the associated texture.

Is there a method for editing or overriding the color on the surface texture of this Olive Green -opt.jpg file so I can explore different colors of this material to match the manufactures catalog?

All the image files are contained in your loaded library/s.

But if you are using a default library, it will be a Library Container File (.LCF), so you will need to extract it first so you can then find the individual files within it.
