<T>Hi - I have taken a jpeg of Euro ash for a custom texture but when I add it to my cupboard fronts, there is a dark shadow that appears. I increase the size of the custom texture in the surface parameters box but then it appears somewhere else. How do I avoid this?</T>

The dark stripe must be part of the image you have used, probably at an edge if its not obvious. Crop it out and re-save the JPG file. Reload Libraries in Archicad file to update.
